Alan, I understand that your post wasnt directed at me, but I would like to reply anyway. Everything you stated is predicated upon taking the Bible as a literal translation of God's words. Personally, although I have no problem with you believing it, I do not. I have been very clear about that. Most Christians do not take the Bible literally, although I admit that does not prove anyone particularly right or wrong. Mark
