John, I am very happy that MSFT plans to license from Inprise. It sounds like this will allow ISV's to use pure Java now regardless of the platform and that MSFT agrees that by licensing from Inprise, they are making a level of commitment to CORBA!! MSFT past strategy has been to not follow open industry standards (like Pure Java, CORBA, etc.) because this would destroy MSFT desktop dominance (and they plans to dominate the server market some time in the future). If this posting of yours is saying that MSFT is now embracing CORBA, the ndustry would be cheering today again! Thanks for the new release! This is great news for the industry that MSFT is starting to conform to industry standards. It is for the good of the industry (although I dont think it bodes well for MSFT and their well-known inferior products). Thanks Again! Toy
