Long article in today's "Circuit" section, a once weekly section of the NYTimes, on batteries for consumer electronics: nytimes.com Rayovac is mentioned, Sanyo is quoted, Ken Hawk of 1800Batteries is quoted. nary a mention of the inventor of NiMh that I could see. I can't imagine what Ruder Finn is doing that we aren't prominently plastered all over this piece. Don Devlin and I are trying to write bits of a piece on EV's which may appear in the electronic edition of a major business periodical. We have showcased NiMh and mentioned ECD more than we dare-- if we can get in a plug, why cant the pros from RF? The URL came up with a banner ad of what I thought was the EV1. But nope it was just an ICE powered Volvo upon closer inspection-- what a perfect place for ECD to advertise. Anyway, there at least nice cooing words in the article about NiMh even if our footprints aren't all over it. I'm not sure readers of this list and students of ECD will glean a lot of technical information however.
