Actually no, I don't think prices will continue to rise, though they could if the extra Y2K demand is large. I have said that price declines are likely to be more moderate in the future because once costs get down to or below the marginal costs of the highest cost producers it gives those high cost producers great incentive to either cut back production or cease production altogether. So long as MU can keep reducing costs faster than the competition they will outlast them and be profitable. I think MU's cost should be down below $7 a chip now, and I don't expect the price to get that low in the next 6 months.
