That EPIC system should help build Intel's EPIC chips next year, year after, etc. That is, Intel/HP Merced 64 bit chip due late next year in samples, mid 2000 in production, uses Explicitly Parallel Instruction Computing. Not enough letters in the alphabet, or companies should get together on their acronyms.

Thanks for the info on "end to end" systems. I kind of thought AMAT meant several pieces of equipment would comprise the end to end solution. Makes sense if they can combine a lot into one machine. No expert here in semi equip, though, just an old hardware hacker.
