MSFT would be a wrong choice in 1999. Look at the clouds brewing on the horizon. In fact 1998 itself was a very slow year for MSFT. Whereas all the stocks on an average tech portfolio did well, MSFT returned a measly 17%. I believe the investors are going to pull out and look at greener pastures like CSCO and INTC....of course for the not-so-feint-hearted, there always will be YHOO ;)
