Thanks to both of you. I checked. I do have Adobe Acrobat. I
thought that meant when I clicked on the files that they would
open up and I could read them on line. I didn't realize there
were more steps--that I had to "associate" Adobe with the file,
then had to wait for it to download. I may be using it incorrectly
but it is an annoying system. I don't really want to download
these files. I just want to read them on line. Often I want
nothing more than one piece of information and having to download
the whole file, then open it up seems like trying to shovel sugar
with a fork. Is there some particular reason PDF files are used?If
the same system was in place on SI, no one would use it.
