Mike, Dells economies of scale in mfg are vastly superior to Suns, irrespective of what each company sells. Thats what I was talking about. In manufacturing Sun is by far the worst as far as being able to streamline their facility, or for that matter automate with modern technology at all. Obviously for the very high end manufacturing is not as much of an issue but in the low end and midrange where Dell and Cpq are moving Sun wont be able to compete. Im partial to Dell but Cpq also can kill Sun in mfg. Just one part of the business I realize but a key piece, and its ironic that many Sun boxes sell into high end manufacturing and yet Sun cant even come up on a simple ERP after 5 years of trying.
