<<< The best time to make that move is now, when the base Dell machine is running at peak efficiency and speed. None the less, I have not seen any hints like this either in the press or from the various insiders I occasionally speak with. >>>>
Dog, Dell is going like a house afire just to keep up
present computer/server production ,the 8 zeon processor design and the new mass storage units. Focused, that is.
There are huge opportunities ( witness the Internet activities) for Dell when the time comes for new work, and does not have to be something that competes with CPQ. The computer wars are fading away,
haven't heard that term used for months.
And you are right, we generally hear about Dell's new ventures
only when the plans are firm. Michael's success is built upon his word, don't get much hype, or 'if all goes well we will' etc.
The work being done in the Dell labs is seldom obvious until a new product is ready. Did you hear about the 14"? laptop screen before it hit the market??? But there is some info on the Dell home page.
So we get some flat spots in the stock performance
70 next week
