This following is a classic example of 'environment of terror' created by the 'voodoo artists and self styled prophets of doom', 'go short the market' and slogans ' of world is coming to an end' become slogans 'dime a dozen' take a great toll on investors who get trapped in short positions ---- shorting is worst enemy of an investor and so is gloom and doom and prediction of market going down, the prophets of doom are right now not even looking at the right indexes as market takes its revenge and move up with vengeanance---but environment of terror on SI leads to lot of such stories--I am so depressed on a day like today when I should have been happiest person around I am dejected and hope that people may learn from this an experience never short a stock and never think that world is going to come to an end..

I got out today at the top --- (half of my position). Now my entire life is ruined. Now my net debt is close to ------

I do not know what to do now. My skill level is not that great and I have screwed up big time. I just pray to god that my wife would not leave me.

Mine is a great example of what speculation does to a person. I did not learn from my ---- experience. It is so sad that you would not believe as what my plight is. I used up my kids' education money, my retirement savings and everything else. By US standards I am way below poverty line.
