I just found out that Micron has a special government tech support line and thought I'd give it a try. A hold time of only 4 minutes versus 30 minutes on the regular line (not bad). I also was set straight by Joe who informed me that the reasons for the logical partitions is a FAT16 limitation. Therefore, when a machine is shipped with W98, they can make a logical partition bigger than 2GB using FAT32. Also, a very important point is that you can use the dos fdisk utility to repartition back to FAT16 without losing data on the primary partition. Therefore, saving me from reloading all the software again. It's great when you get a hold of someone who really knows what they are doing! I talked with two technicians prior to this who didn't have these answers. With this in mind, I think Micron is doing everything right w.r.t. disk partitions and am very pleased with my 450 PII.
