cannot say that i know the chaps name....Willakensie is the soil type in which this vineyard is sitting atop....clay loam basically...i have some willakensie type on part of my parcel...jory is the magic word to be saying if one were shopping around land to potential vineyard owners. i cannot tell you how many real estate salespeople i met with who had no idea what the soil types were on a particular property but they knew enought to say it was "jory soil". i went to the county and obtained a soils map and figured it all out for myself. gotta run.
