New York, Nov. 19 (Bloomberg) -- A comment on the late-day reversal in Internet shares by Ken Pasternak, chief executive of Knight/Trimark Group Inc., a market maker in Nasdaq stocks:

''There's a heavy population of momentum players in these stocks,'' Pasternak said. ''And once they saw that they weren't going higher, the stocks started going lower.''

Yahoo! Inc., up 437 percent this year, fell 4 1/4 to 185 7/8. Amazon.com Inc., up 409 percent in 1998, fell 10 3/4 to 153 1/4. >
