peter, I am sorry you got hosed on your short via Datek. I was in the book store last night. There are WAY too many books on the shelves about daytrading now. I have no interest. Wanted to plug an old book that is easily gotten from amazon.com. "How I made $2,000,000 on Wall Street" by Nicolas Darvas The book is as good as the title is tacky. Like stock operator it is regarded as a timeless classic. Worth a look. funk
