Voodoo3 prices....

from sharkyextreme.com

Video card manufacturer Guillemot told Sharky Extreme earlier last night that they fully intend to release a product based on 3Dfx's recently announced Voodoo 3 3000 product (see below). Guillemot hinted at a retail price between $150 and $200, although the product will most likely debut for less. They have no plans to release a Voodoo 3 2000 product so as not to undermine their 3Dfx Banshee based Phoenix.

<$150 to $200!! wow, i didn't expect V3-3000 prices to debut at such a low price... talking about razor thin profit margins off boards.... whew... but hey, if it moves chips i'm all for it =)... i'm just wondering if diamond is going to offer a v3-2000 motherboard solution from their micronics division... it will be interesting to see which mb makers decide to go v3
