Michael, I think investors are getting smarter about pickpocketing that is done by analysts and institutions. Analysts pronouncements do not have the effect they used to. Witness the doubling of Micron and INTC after Kurlak of Merrill Lynch issued a sell recommendation. Jeff Vinik of fidelity Magellan used to routinely drive prices up before dumping his shares and drive them down before buying. If you have a few billion to play with you can pretty much set the price of any stock.
