Clinton's Ballade

I've heard the story told again
not knowing where it wants to go.
It wanders on without an end
whether being told by friend or foe.
There are some things we could forego,
Must we make him pedestrian?
Though maybe not simpatico,
none can deny Clinton's a man.

Washington is full of of harlequins
who trade in such for quid pro quo.
Many are tales of courtesans
caught in flagrante delicto.
Now here's a man fortissimo,
can we view this non-partisan?
We heard his pleas on radio,
none can deny Clinton's a man.

Show me one perfect citizen
whose life is pure as new falled snow.
Politics are not utopian,
this is a fact that we all know.
Let's stop this tired imbroglio
and be utilitarian.
Starr thought we had the need to know,
none can deny Clinton's a man.

Be careful what you think you know,
what TV says ain't always so.
When each of us is juryman,
none can deny Clinton's a man.
