I'll try. I don't really understand it myself. Some stocks can trade on the NYSE afterhours, for 1/2 hour or so. There is also INSTINET, which is an other market that can only be accessed by professionals, i think. Instinet trades are usually reflective of after hours news and are particularly active in the morning before regular trading begins. sorry i can't be more explicit. perhaps someone else can add. larry
