The OMAI gold mine located in the Highlands in Guyana is one of the
largest gold mines in South America...
The IBIC/PLACER DOME JV'd properties are located approximately 20 miles
south of the giant OMAI Gold Mine...(No diamond finds reported)
DIAMONDS are being mined/found all along the Guiana Highland trend,
including Guyana...
BHP(BHP:NYSE)/Golden Star Resources (GSC:TSE) are currently exploring for
"diamonds"/gold in Guyana...
PLACER DOME, on behalf of IBIC, is currently "studying" similar
government geological and geographical information, as provided to BHP/GSC,
and will, no doubt, arrive at similar conclusions, specifically as it
pertains to the viability of 'diamond' exploration, not to mention the
probabilities for gold....
