Elmer - Re: "With so many of their Design Engineers leaving the company they are spread really thin." I don't know if this is true, but anything is possible. However, the K7 seems to be an AUSTIN design and the K6-3 seems to be a NexGEN design - Fremont or whatever. That would imply at least two design teams - separated physically. Of course, the brilliant K5 was designed in Austin and we all know what a great processor that turned out to be ! Paul
