I am not answering for Mr. Pink, but I read your comment re: the Merrill slip-up. If you want them to correct the error, I suggest you make your intentions known asap. Merrill is a big firm, and they should have no problem fixing the goof. They have bigger goofs to worry about - like getting involved in a wacko fund called LTCM, or loaning $$$ in Russia and then being surprised when they don't get it back, etc. If they value you and your mom as customers, they should be more than happy to fix their oversight.
