Fuel cells, one step closer; DaimlerChrysler Affil In Fuel-Cell Pact With German Utility DANBURY, Conn. (Dow Jones)--Energy Research Corp. (ERC) said DaimlerChrysler AG's (DCX) MTU affiliate received a contract from a utility in Bielefeld, Germany, for a fuel cell using Energy Research's direct fuel cell stack. Financial terms weren't disclosed. In a press release Thursday, Energy Research said the fuel cell is scheduled to be delivered in the second half of 1999. Energy Research makes technology for electric power generation.
