Brent, are they raisons d'etre?<g>Have you ever used dried cranberries to accompany apple recipes? I think better than raisins. Soak in apple juice to make moist, or bourbon for sophisticated recipes. Out of this world!

I cook the stuffing in the turkey, I think a lot of those new things the food establishment recommends to avoid food poisoning are really aimed at people whose immunity is compromised, as they say. I rinse my turkey carefully, then soak my turkey in brine water, a la Cook's magazine, I think the brine kills bacteria, but the reason is to make the breast meat juicier to compensate for the additional moisture in the dark meat.

Whole Foods has a number of stores locally. I remember going into the first one in Houston, I felt like I had died and gone to heaven. That was before I experienced Zabar's and Dean&Deluca.<g>
