Max, I read on S.I. that there was some new (1998) SEC rule about Margin (an interpretation that developed this year). When I was doing my search for a new broker, I spoke with All-Tech/Attain System in Stamford CT and asked about Margin. I was told "you can get 2.5x to 3x intraday, but by the close you must be at 2x or under."

I asked HOW's THIS? My current broker does 2x. The fellow told me it was an interpretation of the new SEC rule and that different brokers may interpret it differently.

I wonder if MBT has considered being a little more aggressive in applying the above????
