I have experience with these...they are a great way to play the Bondos. Also take peek at RYGBX...Rydex Gov't Bond, on the long side.

RYJUX..Rydex Juno is a NEGATIVE BETA bond fund...so when you want to be short the bonds go here.

As far as indivdual issues....why mess around with all them trading costs if you plan on trading them? Liquidity and a no load fund are hard to beat for the average joe. Size also matters...well, you know what I mean :-)
