Well, we do know one date for sure- Dec 3rd.

This week there was some profit taking and apparently some sellers that wanted to take some money out, but the selling volume seems to have dried up yesterday afternoon. OTOH, there are apparently a lot of buyers in the low 7s. The 100 day chart still looks pretty bullish to me.

There are increasing rumors of Valence battery sightings at places like the Energizer suite at Comdex, and this morning a poster on Yahoo reports that Alliant is planning to use Valence batteries in the new M-16 and associated surveillance gear they are building for the military. Both these rumors are consistent with previous JV and cross-licensing agreements that Valence has had with Eveready and Alliant.

There are most likely a lot of Valence batteries out there floating around various OEMs as they design products and line up customers. I am becoming more and more certain we will have agreements or contracts revealed by mid-December, and most likely before the December 3rd analysts visit to NI. Also given the time since the departure of Archibald, and the upcoming analysts visit, I suspect we will hear about a new CFO before then.

I have avoided using this term until now, but given the December 3rd visits looming on the horizon, I say:

... Buckle UP !!!!
