According to this article Heidelberg Prepress said that color calibration technology was readily available on the market since 1985 before Imatec filed its patent. itmatters.bworldonline.com Here is a link to Imatec's 1988 patent. patents.uspto.gov Personally I think Imatec is looking for a deep pocket. The company has a $1.2 million market cap with net shareholder deficit of $5 mil since 1988. Its got 2 (... count them with me ONE...TWO... employees). A CEO and a CFO. Eric
