Lee, Bosco & all,

Lee, on Korea going up 50%, maybe this has to do with many of the Wireless stocks such as Motorola, Nokia and Qualcomm (all of which has large exposures to Asia) strengthening in the last week. Note that the Straits Times Index in Singapore has risen 15% in the last week. The Nikkei also had a big lift last night.

Bosco, on yet another demonstration on the power of Maslow's Theory on the hierarchy of needs, in the last 24 hours I have absolutely lost contact with the world economy and the markets. The reason? The hot water heater went kaput, and all I have done in the last 24 hours is research plumbers and begged them to come visit - at $175 per visit. Maybe there is an alternate life to stocks....Not that I get a thrill from researching plumbers, but there was no choice given the deadly threats issued by the real boss of the house......<vbg>.

On the subject of stocks, I have been researching the stocks of the future, i.e. the Internet stocks. I am learning a whole new set of valuation metrics: hit rates, traffic rates, P/Es of multiples of hundreds....never mind margins or revenues....

So here I am, stuck at home, waiting for the plumber to come so I can give him $175 to tell me I need a new water heater.

Best,
Steve.
