I agree. But I think it keeps coming up because CIEN fans and holders can't accept this deal is dead. IMHO it is dead at least for now. Could happen next year, but only if everyone were VERY sure. For now, CIEN's biz has deteriorated, though it is still a contender loner term. CSCO has ruled it out LU is a longshot, TLAB could happen later. There aren't that many credible buyers. When CIEN again picks up momentum, that's when an acquis is possible. Until then, it's just rumours being circulated to make it an interesting day trading stock.
