i hold opawica and spoke w/their mouthpiece chris roberts a lot last week. on friday he faxed me a map showinging that Stenpad, Opawica's Asankagra, and Nevsun's Gemap, all have common boundary, and a lot of throughgoing structure. OPW has a JV their w/ashanti, who got it when they took over golden shamrock. ashanti must spend $ 1M by 7/1/97 to stay in; OPW says their still too disorganized following the takeover to even know where the results are from a reverse-circ drill campaign done in last 6 months. However, OPW did a reverse-circ drill campaign in mid 1996 that had some very nice showings.

At 6.7M shares out, OPW has some leverage.

OPW has a web site, but they haven't updated it for a while.

i asked roberts if they were going to do a press release clarifying proximity of their property to Hixon's; he said they'd been discussing the idea and had not reached consensus.
