OT > internet connections

Thank you very much for your explanation about ADSL. It confirms what I read in that article. I am anxious to upgrade to a faster internet connection, but at a reasonable cost. I have a feeling that may take a while since I am too far away from a CO.

As far as cable goes, I have not seen any move by Comcast to lay down 2-way cable in our area. They are in the process of trying to convert subscribers to digital signal, and they are also raising their prices beyond control. Will be looking at satellite to compare cost. Unfortunately, satellite for TV & satellite for computer, from what I have been told, are not offered together, but as two separate services. Does anyone know about satellite service for internet connections?
