Taken by itself and in context, the letter doesn't amount to much. All Dash is saying is that he objected to Starr's appearing on television.

But this isn't about facts and context. This about politics and war. This looks really, really bad for Starr. And Democrats will gleefully use this resignation to tarnish Starr's investigation. The timing could not have been worse, just as people were trying to decide what they thought on Starr's performance, along comes this resignation, further moving the debate from Clinton's behavior to Starr's.
