here is why Lu was weak in the morning :news on LU: share of telecommunications equipment maker are trading lower today on rumors that company might pre-announce an earnings shortfall for the December period; while some Wall Street firms believe everything is fine with LU's fiscal Q1 performance, some suspect that LU could pre-announce a shortfall as early as this afternoon; investors should keep in mind that the quarter is back-end loaded and that LU can easily make-up any shortfall in the last two weeks of the period; nonetheless, concerns over earnings are putting pressure on the stock today; according to Zacks, LU is projected to earn $0.96 a share
