Penni, I think JFQ may be right in that the paranoid right in the US may be more marginalized than the paranoid left. I haven't been long enough in the US in the last 18 years to know, so I could be wrong. Outside the US, I think the situation is reversed. Possibly due to some inherent xenophobia, the official American presence outside the US has always inclined toward paranoid right-hood. As a result, we've driven ourselves away from people who could have been good friends, and jumped in bed with people who turned out to do us much more harm than good. Not that I want to bore you with political stuff.... Steve
