rudedog, To paraphrase another Texan - I knew CPQ, CPQ was a friend of mine, and AMD is no CPQ. That is true. AMD/Nexgen hires a substantial number of architects, PhD's, and people of considerable technical ability. Compaq gets most of their engineers from Coug High (UofH) and the techs from the local National Education Center. Sorry Charlie. Compaq is a marketing company these days. Is anyone left from DEC?
