There is only two Browsers with largest market share, Netscape & IE.
There is no question that Microsoft's next move is to dominate the Internet. If history is a lesson, there is a good chance that they will succeed.
Today AOL is shipped with IE. It is the matter of time that AOL & MSFT will brake up due to conflict of interest.
IMO, AOL needs reliable browser technology to compete with Microsoft. Technology that they can grow, protect, & control for it's 14 million+ users. If Netscape is driven out of business, Microsoft will use I.E. to drive AOL out of business in favor of their MSN.
Netscape has some of the best Internet technology today. Their stock price is undervalued by far.
For AOL, $8-10 billion merger with netscape will give them technology that is much more valuable and needed by AOL.
