For those who are just experimenting with options, this is what my Nov calls looked like Csco Nov 60, cost 2.88, sold 10 Csco Nov 65, cost 1.50, sold 4 7/8 Csco Nov 65, cost 2.56, sold 9 Dell Nov 45, cost 12.88, sold 19 Dell Nov 52.5 cost 9.57, sold 12 Dell Nov 70, cost 5.75, lost Del Nov 70,cost 1, sold 5 Dell Nov 70, cost 1, lost Plcm Nov 15, cost 1, sold 3 Plcm Nov 15, cost 1, sold 2.68 Rnwk Nov 35, cost 4.50, sold 7 What has worked for me( but may not for others), is to mix up the strike prices a bit, to buy at varied times, and to sell some when they are up. In the case of Dell 70's, I sold some when they were at 5 to cover the cost, else would have lost all.But the 45 and 52.5 would have saved the day anyway. Same with Rnwk, I sold those early or they would have vanished also, and some Plcm was sold early, which made litte difference in results. Of course it may be nescessary to kiss these all bye-bye if the th market or stock goes down rather than up. UH Oh: Ralph Acampora is on the Tube. SES |
