Thanks, Rick, I am in the process right now of transferring 401(k) money to Mobil (one of a few drips to offer the IRA option). I found Mobil's info on their web site and was able to get the ball rolling. So far, the people at Mobil shareholder services have been extremely helpful to me. These kind of transfers can get a little hairy.

A timely article in February Kiplinger's Magazine talks about stock splits. The article mentions three stocks which they consider "ripe" to split...Mobil, Exxon, and GE (already announced a 2 for 1). Just their opinion at this point, but last year they correctly predicted a 2 for 1 split for Anheuser-Busch some months before the company announced it.

Be sure to periodically check out netstockdirect.com for companies which allow direct investment. This is becoming a very popular option and more new companies are being added all the time.

Regards,

Vicki
