Hey people:
So glad someone started this. I too am a car nut.
I polish with #7 and then use a wax from Griot's Garage called "best in show". But, have to say that I have used McGuires and like it. Will be going back to it soon. Also, like Mother's paste wax. Not bad but I think McG is probably the best. Have a 1987 Corvette Coupe and am the original owner. It is two tone grey top black bottom, one of only 1267 two tones in 87. Have done some mods to the motor and can turn 0-60 in 5 sec flat any time. I drive it just about everyday and have been in love since the beginning. Also have a 1992 Toyota Camery, not a bad car but has the worst squeaks in the rear suspension. The rubber bushings have dried out and will cost, are you ready, $600. to fix. I have been dousing with oil lub to the entire area but only helps for a few days and then back to the squeaks again. I guess I should not complain as it has been trouble free. All that talk about polishing makes be remember that I should be in the garage, at it this weekend.
Keep talking everyone. Love to hear about cars. By the way, I used to run a C gas dragster in the 60's.
Cousin Stevie.
