Steve,

Shame on Martin De Prycker. He should know better than to publish incorrect statements.

Examples:

- There ARE variable bit rate CAP chips available today.
- CAP chips DO offer spectral shaping.
- CAP systems DO adapt to spectral characteristics of different loops.
- CAP requires a SMALLER interleaving depth than DMT.

- As well as other issues I won't get into here.

Bottom line - the DMT folks have, to date, gotten away with publishing anything they feel like saying and apparently continue to do so...
