Financial Times, Saturday: Sentiment in Falklands oil explorers was hurt by news from Shell and its joint venture partner Agip-ENI that it had found no commercial quantities of oil in a well near the islands. Both Desire Petroleum and Westmount fell the same amount, 22 per cent or 6½ to 22½p.
