Read the article below ...we could do the exact same thing with Rogers...as a matter of fact Bid.Com has an exclusive contract to host the RADD International Web site (Recording Artists, Actors and Athletes Against Drunk Driving) until the year 2001. This organization, chaired by David Niven Jr., boasts over 300 tier one rock artists including Paul McCartney, Elton John, Rod Stewart, KISS and Melissa Etheridge to name but a few. Bid.Com intends to establish a strong position in the entertainment sector by operating this Web site and the “Rock Auction” of artist memorabilia, concert tickets and other related products on behalf of RADD

Auction Television in e-commerce technology pact

WARMINSTER, Pa., Nov. 20 (Reuters) - The Auction Television Network (OTC BB:ATVW - news), which sells items ranging from guitars to used cars on TV and the Internet, said Friday it will join with Virtual Financial Holdings Inc. to introduce software to speed up and better manage online auctions.

The software, set to debut online in the first quarter of 1999, allows computer data to travel at higher speeds and with greater accuracy between systems using different computer languages, Auction Television Chief Executive Eddie Stanojev said in an interview.

In the past, networks have had problems transferring data between systems using languages such as Sun Microsystems Inc.'s (Nasdaq:SUNW - news) Java and Microsoft Corp.'s (Nasdaq:MSFT - news) Wrapper/COM.

The new Virtual Financial software uses both the Sun and Microfost languages to allow near immediate or real-time processing of online bids for the new and used goods Auction Television receives from consignors.

Financial terms of the stock and cash deal were not disclosed.

Shares of Auction Television were trading at 2-15/16 in mid-morning business, up 1/16.

eBay Inc. (Nasdaq:EBAY - news) of San Jose, Calif. has emerged as a star of the online auction business and is the auctioneer of choice for leading online service America Online Inc. ONSALE Inc. (Nasdaq:ONSL - news) is an established presence in the industry.
