I use TD WebBroker and experience the same frustrating time out problems you have with Scotia, there may be a solution!, (and I say maybe).

A short review;

Keep It Alive is a very simple program you can use to keep your ISP from pulling the plug due to inactivity. Available from the system tray, it pings a single remote server of your choosing at an interval of your choosing. An Options dialog is available for you to establish those settings and optionally enable audio verification. Keep It Alive is very easy to use and better yet -- it's free!

I had only a brief chance to try this program out on Wednesday before I left town and it appeared to me at the time I was able to stay logged on longer than usual.

Now I qualify that statement by saying I never had the chance to actually time the durations with or without the help of the utility. I hope to look into the program in more depth when I return home.

There is also another program that claims to do the same "Stay Connected", it is also available on PC Mag's web site, these two programs are Win 95, 98&NT compatible, apparently there are others but do not support NT (which I use).

I'd like to hear from anyone who has or will be trying out similar utilities.
