He has a fiduciary duty to MCI-Worldcom shareholders. Your suggesting (Bert Roberts has a material interest in seeing VLNC succeed.) that Roberts would use the venture fund to invest in VLNC because of personal incentives is off base. The quality of VLNC's B/S and the risk entailed with such a B/S, no revenue and the prospect of trying to come to market in the acutely competitive battery market would push VLNC way down the list. The low quality of VLNC's financial status is reflected in the draconian financing terms its management acceded to with CC. Note the raging debates concerning the financing and its potentially debilitating effects on current VLNC shareholders. These guys have missed out on the great bull market f the past 12 years.

In any event, Roberts is too savvy to be snowed by the rhetoric and hype of FMK. Unless you believe the information he represents in his shameless hype there is little other reason to throw money at VLNC. Before you buy into his predictions, try searching his previous ones over the past months/years and measure their failure rate.
