That's fair, maybe they were the only ones willing to do the financing, although it's hard to believe in the current frenzied internet stock boom.
I will judge Yorktown in 2 weeks, when BID is either $1.00 or $5.00+.

Still like the stock.
BID is the only online auction site of it's kind in Canada, so there's not much competition here. BID also has their US site up and running.

Two good articles in Saturdays National Post:
"Ebay trades at 100 times revenue, Amazon at 10 revenue,
Onsale at 2 times.
Bid.Com trades at @ 2 times revenue, so based on
its peers and investor sentiment, its stock should continue to climb."
>>IMO BID is just beginning to build its revenues and may grow at a much faster pace than its more advanced peers.<<

Also: "Mr. Pavan (of yorktown) estimates the firm's revenue this year at
$22 Mil, rising to as much as $80 Mil in 1999, accompanied by a profit."

2nd article headline: "Bid.Com extracts good terms - Current financing paves the way for Nasdaq listing".

Should be a FUN Monday............
