Get AccleeratedX and you can have any resolution you want. Oh, Once upon a time I was an ATI only man. Then I started using matrox millenium cards. Now I'm a matrox man. With these cards I did not expect X to have any problem with any X server. But most experience is with accelerated X. I'm an acceleratedX man also. Oh. and of course I'm also a crisp man decending from being a dos brief man. With any and all of the above linux is an even more friendly wonderful environment. The above are not required, But I'm worth the extra 400 bucks or so to go with 5 star style.
