What you're missing, KTEL has a float of 8 mil.; KTEL announces an alliance with Microsoft (why in god's name Microsoft chose KTEL, I sure don't know, unless they are going to take control of KTEL); KTEL has a known name, though not the way I'd want my name known; and the rapid rise and fall of its share price following good or bad news is as predictable as day-traders jumping in and out of any stock.
