Hi Luke:

<< Correct me if I am wrong, but none of the DMT chipsets or solutions interoperate. Therefore, if you subscribe to the single-source argument, then DMT is, in actuality, only single-source. Hence this "disadvantage" is true for all current ADSL chips. >>

If you are correct then all the DMT modems as well as DMT chipsets are (or more accuratly will be) manufactured in the vialotion of the DMT standart established by ANSI. I am not very familiar with either CAP or DMT but it is hard for me to believe that all cos including big names like MOT, NEC, TXN will manufacture chipsets not capable to interoperate in accordance with ANSI standart.
