Glad to be of assistance.

I discussed different options with my accountant. He had some doubts about the letter from a broker, because as long as there are other shareholders, there is probably a market where it can be sold.
I also wanted to hang onto the shares, so he suggested trading stocks with my dad as the solution.

I will only trade him enough to offset any capital gains for the year plus the $3K that I can deduct from my salary. We will see about the rest next year.

I hope that one day I WILL have the problem with a cost basis of -0-.
It would mean that I can sell it for decent amount of money. By then it will be long term cap gain.

Did that bill that was supposed to lower long term cap gains to 15% ever pass?
