marcos,
The songs that everyone has posted on this thread have been really great. I thought we could use a blues song to get a different feel on this thread. I that lines like "I ain't got a home in this world anymore" would describe the effects of some of these scams, and other lines like "I got a 38 special on a 44 frame, how can I miss if I've got dead aim" might sum up the feelings of the victims.
Heres a 12-bar blues based on James Alley Blues by Richard "Rabbit" Brown many years ago, and performed more recently by Mr. Bob Dylan iaehv.nl .
I changed the verses and tried to get some new ones that sort of had the same feel. I liked the sentiment in the last verse in the original version, so I kept it as is, even though it doesn't exactly fit in with the rest of the song.

I buy the groceries, and I pay the rent, yes I buy the groceries, and I pay the rent, If I keep playing the pennies, I won't have one red cent.

I give you sugar and stevia, you give me vinegar and salt... I give you sugar and stevia, from you I vinegar and salt... If you wind up talking to a judge, well its your own fault
Sometimes I think that you're to sweet to die Sometimes I think that you're to sweet to die And another time I think that you ought to be burried alive. |
